New Here

A pastor preaching to his congregation

Welcome to Sacred City Church!

We are so glad you’re considering joining us. Whether you’re new to Providence, looking for a church home, or simply curious about faith, we want you to know you’re welcome here.

We gather as a community of believers each week to worship God, hear from His Word, see his word in the Lord’s Supper, and prepare to apply his word throughout the week. No matter where you’re coming from, we believe that God has a place for you here. We would love to meet you, answer any questions, and help you get connected.

What to expect

What should I wear?

Clothes. But seriously, wear what you’re comfortable in and you’ll fit right in. We try not to get hung up on things like this.

What kind of music is played?

Our bands play a variety of modern worship music and updated hymns. We really try to make our time of singing together truly Christ-focused and powerful. Music has always been an important part of the church, and we think you’ll be encouraged by what our team puts together each week. Check out our Spotify.

What should I expect?

Our services tend to last 70-80 minutes. Since you may find yourself meeting a few new people and wanting to chat, plan for an hour and a half. Our teaching is Gospel-focused, biblical exposition that is culturally relevant and worthy of note-taking. Bring your Bible, and if you don’t have one, just ask. We’ll make sure you get one.

What about my kids?

Childcare is available. We want to provide your child a safe, fun, Christ-centered place to learn and grow during our weekend services. We have volunteers that will be happy to help with younger children and encourage older children to partake in the service with their parents.

To ensure the health of every child in our church, we ask that you keep your child with you during the service if you suspect them to have a serious communicable illness or disease.

A few things to consider:

  1. Have they had a fever in the past 24 hours?
  2. Have they vomited or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours?
  3. Do they have a severe cold or cough?
  4. Do they have green or yellow mucus?
  5. Are there any unexplained rashes or inflammations of the skin?
  6. Is there any redness or discharge from the eyes?

Where should I park?

Don’t worry! Parking downtown is free on Sundays! We have plenty of parking in front of the building and in our parking lot to the south of the building.
