Jacob serves as a pastor and the primary teacher at Sacred City Church. With a heart for reaching the next generation, he also serves as President of the board of Campus Fellowship, a national church-based college ministry. Jacob is passionate about engaging young adults and every college campus with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He and his wife, Sasha, have been married for 13 years and have six children. As a family, they enjoy reading books, going to the beach, and playing baseball. Committed to educating their children and equipping future leaders, the Van Sickles helped start Providence Classical Academy alongside other families. Jacob serves on the school’s board, while Sasha is a teacher there.
In addition to his pastoral work, Jacob teaches in partnership with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master’s in Theological Studies with a focus on church planting. Through their Contextualized Leadership Development program, Jacob teaches courses such as Ethics, Doctrine I and II, Missiology, and Hermeneutics within a local church context.
